ISTT Companies Attend the meeting for the Development of K-based Export

The first Meeting of the High-Tech and Knowledge-based Export Development Council convened at the Headquarters of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran with the attendance of several of Isfahan Science and Technology Town’s (ISTT) knowledge-based companies.

During this session, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mojtaba Khosrow Taj explained the key role and responsibility that the knowledge-based economy plays in the country and continued to say that “This industry must take up a bigger share in our domestic portfolio of Non-Oil Exports, by further consolidating with each other”

He further explained that the community needs to come up with a strategic plan for the promotion of knowledge-based exports and thus is in need of a detailed analysis of the technological development of different countries and our competitive advantages in comparison. With such analysis the path to proceed and place emphasis upon becomes most clear.

ISTT had several representatives at this meeting including the C.E.Os of its knowledge-based companies, Behyar San’at Sepahan, Pertican Light Cement, and Fara Taghghigh, whom were accompanied by the Deputy President of ISTT itself.

ISTT’s company representatives together with representatives of the different domestic Science and Technology Parks elaborated on the obstacles knowledge-based companies face in line with exporting their products internationally.

Amongst the issues that were discussed was creating an increase in the support service offered by the Trade Promotion Organization to K-based companies for participating in International Specialized Exhibitions, offering assistance in acquiring Legal and Technical Consultations, rendering support in financial and banking issues related to export, and sending invitations to international delegations for visiting Iran’s science and technology parks and their settled K-based companies.
